Paul tells the church at Thessalonica that they were ensamples. Now this is a word that is not used much today, but it means: An example; a pattern or model for imitation. So that ye were ensamples to all that believe in Macedonia and Achaia. — 1 Thessalonians 1:7 (KJV)

In Colossians, chapter 3, we are given the exhortation to set your affection on things above. We are then told how to do that. Put off the old man. Put on the new man. Lie not one to another. In other words, don’t live in sin.
If there is one fact about God that the world wants you to doubt, it is that He is the Creator of all things. The world wants you to think that somehow everything just happened in a “big bang” and that event started evolutionary processes over eons of time that bring us to the present day. It just isn’t true.
Things are hard for people in my country right now, as it is for many throughout the world. Many are out of work and have lost their homes. Yet, God tells us to be careful for nothing.
God has provided a way so that our sins will be forgiven. His son Jesus lived without sinning and died in our place so that forgiveness is available to all. Not all, however, accept this.
