Enjoy!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Side By Side<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><br \/>\nThey lie on the table side by side<br \/>\nThe Holy Bible and the TV Guide<br \/>\nOne is worn and cherished with pride &#8211;<br \/>\nNot the Bible, but the TV Guide.<br \/>\nOne is used daily to help folks decide.<br \/>\nNo, not the Bible, but the TV Guide.<br \/>\nAs the pages are turned, what shall they see?<br \/>\nOh, what does it matter, turn on the TV.<br \/>\nSo they open the book in which they confide.<br \/>\nNo, not the Bible, but the TV Guide.<br \/>\nThe Word of God is seldom read.<br \/>\nMaybe a verse before they fall into bed.<br \/>\nExhausted and sleepy and tired as can be.<br \/>\nNot from reading the Bible, from watching TV<br \/>\nSo then back to the table side by side,<br \/>\nLie the Holy Bible and the TV Guide.<br \/>\nNo time for prayer, no time for the Word,<br \/>\nThe plan of Salvation is seldom heard.<br \/>\nBut forgiveness of sin, so full and free,<br \/>\nIs found in the Bible, not on TV.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Author unknown<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Here is a short poem that I read in The Heartbeat of the Remnant.
