There is a practice in the modern church, even those that claim to use the King James Bile. That practice is to use Holy Ghost and Holy Spirit interchangeably. This ought not to be and this is why.
There is a verse (among several) that is missing from the New World Translation that is vital for people in the Jehovah’s Witnesses to consider. That verse is Acts 8:37. The reason this verse is so important is that it speaks to Jesus being God, something that the Jehovah’s Witnesses deny. From the Jehovah’s Witnesses website: However, we take Jesus at his word when he said: “The Father is greater than I am.” (John 14:28) So we do not worship Jesus, as we do not believe that he is Almighty God.
I was saved through reading a Revised Standard Version (RSV) Bible that was given to me at confirmation when I was 14 years old. The words of Jesus spoke truth to me. I have come to know that the RSV is not a reliable Bible version. So what, or who, was it that spoke truth to me?
